Ben Peters

Ben Peters, co-founder of Open Heart Ministries with his wife, Brenda has been involved in ministry since about 1966. He has been involved in establishing and administrating churches and Christian schools, traveling in evangelistic ministry, both locally and internationally, teaching Bible College courses, and speaking at conferences. He is also the author of several books on subjects such as unity, signs and wonders, five fold ministry, revival, the emotional personality and prophetic ministry.

Ben received his B.A. and M. Div. through Canadian Theological Seminary in Regina, Saskatchewan. He pastored an Alliance Church in Parry, Saskatchewan for five years and then became an associate pastor and evangelist with E. R. Burnette, a man with a strong healing and miracle ministry, in Albany, Oregon. Ben and Brenda spent eight full years serving under his ministry.

After pioneering Willapa Harbor Christian Fellowship and Christian Fellowship Academy in Raymond, WA, which they ran for almost 15 years, Ben and Brenda transitioned into a traveling ministry. In 1999, under the name “Open Heart Ministries”, they began traveling full-time, taking the love of Jesus to thousands of people in a very unique team ministry.

Both Ben and Brenda are now well-established church, camp, retreat and conference speakers, with a passion for the healing of the body of Jesus, and the activation of each member into his or her destiny. Both of them minister prophetically to those who come seeking God for a personal word. Ben has experienced the glory of God in Argentina, India, Korea, and Mozambique as well as many regions of Canada, Mexico and the U.S. Ben has been a student of the Bible since childhood and has been blessed with many practical insights in a number of subjects. He has taught schools and seminars on themes such as prophecy, five-fold ministry, unity and signs and wonders.

Today Ben and Brenda are directing much of their energy into the support of Iris Ministries, the ministry of Rolland and Heidi Baker. They have begun teaching a Missions Prep course in the Chicago area to prepare those who want to serve Iris Ministry in various mission fields.

The Peters minister full-time as a faith based ministry and do not come with a price-tag or any appeals for financial support. They have experienced many miracles of provision, proving that God takes care of His own.
